Gumtara fort

Gumtara fort , this is a beautiful part of sahyadri  -Maharashtra. This Fort is 1500ft above sea level, Gumtara fort was basically a watch house of Marathas which covered the area from Thane to Palghar.

If you are planning to visit this place its a great idea but be sure its a 1500ft trek to reach the top of Gumtara.
The nearest station is Bhiwandi, But I advice to take a bus from Thane to Dugad phata. You will need to take any from Thane which is heading towards Wada and get down at Dugad phata from the place you get down , the best thing you should do is.. take an auto rickshaw to Dugad village .. the way to this village is extremely awesome.

Once you reach the village ask the villager to take you to the top ( you need to ask the villager to provide you with a guide) please do not try to do alone if you are a professional trekker or an experienced trekker you can go without the villager but see that you are in a group.

The place is tricky and if you are alone you may get lost or may get injured. Lets not spoil the memory of this beautiful place by taking stupid risks.

Things you should have while going to  Gumtara fort!

1. Trek Shoes ( No Sandals or chappals you may slip or get injured )
2. lunch Box
3. Water bottle
4. 200-300rs. ( its just for your travelling expenses)
5. Your Excitment to see this awesome place

Best time to  visit this place is  Monsoon June - August for the best of Gumtara Fort .

Old Bhayander bridge

Bhayander bridge
Every Mumbai local train traveller passing through the bhayander bridge falls in love with this two bridges having a wish to see it from their vision to see the trains moving on the bridge and now you can do it from the old bridge
The old bridge was build my the Britishers to connect the rail lines.
Later new bridge was constructed exactly parallel to the old one be which the old bridge is no longer to be used.
Soon the old rail bridge will be transformed in road bridge which will be great for the people who live on the small  island between bhayander and naigaon.
How to reach
If you wish to see the old and the new bridge or to your even touch the old bridge you can go to naigaon take 15mins walk towards the bridge 2 wheelers can also be taken.
I'll suggest to take a walk to get the best experience and enjoy the beautiful seen of the bridge from your vision
